48 hours in Florence
Two days in Florence, are surely too few, and to have the choice of appreciate the town is very important to make a good choice of what to see.
The tipycal elements characteristic of the townare not to be miss, so one of the two days available is to dedicate to a walking tour of Florence and the other to the museums of Florence.
The basic walking tour of Florence includes:
the Duomo di Firenze
the Baptistery
the bell tower of Giotto
Palazzo Vecchio
Ponte Vecchio (the "old bridge")
Palazzo Pitti
Pazzale Michelangelo
Piazza Santa Croce
The tour is about 5 kilometers long, so there is the time to explore the narrow streets and take a glimpse to less famous corners around the route, and taste the wine and food typical of Florence.
The visit to the Uffizi museum is not to be miss too, here
there are masterpieces of reinassence times that can only breathtake at a first
glance. To avoid queuing and loosing precious time to the entrance is best to
make a reservation for the entrance, the service is available generally in all
the hotels of Florence.
Once finished the visit to the Uffizi Museum, can be nice a visit to the Giardino
di Boboli (Boboli's garden) where admire one of the most beautiful
reainassaince italian garden.
More and more could be the things to do and to visit in Florence, but for two days staying make a rush too fast could be worst and stressful.. if it is possible plan a new visit to the city and take more time..
